5:21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
5:25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
5:26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
In Matthew 5:21-22, Jesus warns us about the bad effects of being angry. If you get so angry with somebody that you want to kill them, and then you hire an assassin to kill them, you have still sinned. You can't stand behind the law "Thou shalt not kill" and claim not to have killed the person because someone else did it. If you get angry enough to want to kill somebody, it's almost as bad as doing the killing. That's why Jesus tells us not to get angry with others. We are supposed to be loving one another. If you are getting angry with people, and calling them "fools", then you aren't loving them. God wants us to love other people.
Similarly, if you are angry with somebody, or somebody is angry with you, you should try to repair your relationship as soon as possible (Matthew 5:23-24). It's hypocritical for you to claim to love God, but to not be loving your fellow man as God commanded, and as God loves us all. Don't let arguments or disagreements grow to huge feuds. Is it really that important? It's much better to get along with people rather than to end up in court (Matthew 5:25-26).
God bless you.
