God's Law for Christians

Jesus Christ said:

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. [KJV]

Jesus said "this is the law". It appears that many people don't accept that simple statement. Maybe it's too simple for them. For thousands of years, people have been trying to tell Christians that they have to follow some other law. For example, you can read in Acts 15 how people were saying that Christians have to be circumcised and keep the law of Moses:

Acts 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. [KJV]

Read what the Apostles said about those people who said that Christians have to follow the law of Moses:

Acts 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: [KJV]

They said "we gave no such commandment". In other words, those people saying that Christians have to follow the Old Testament Law were making it up.
