New Testament Law

Acts 15:28

Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. [KJV]

Because some people were teaching that Christians had to keep Old Testament Law, the Apostles met at Jerusalem to discuss the matter. This is their conclusion, and you can see that they must have been praying about the matter, because they say "it seemed good to the Holy Ghost".

Read all of Acts 15 to find out more about the Judaisers who were incorrectly teaching that Christians have to follow Old Testament Law. Also read Paul's letter to the Galatians.
